We were excited to be selected from a wide range of applicants to design a comprehensive wayfinding signage plan for Tofino on the far westcoast of BC's Vancouver Island. Goals included expressing the unique character of the area and assisting visitors in finding their way to destinations, shops and services. It was also intended to encourage exploration of multi-modal pathways. Nuu-chah-nulth language place-naming was incorporated with the assistance of the local Tribal Council. The work involved consultation with the District staff, Tofino Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Tofino and the community-at-large.
