PLAZA OF NATIONS

Our team supported the property developer in preparing a high level wayfinding and signage plan for this 13 acre site on the north shore of False Creek. Once the site of Expo 86, these properties are being redeveloped as a mixed use residential and retail area with significant public realm requirements.

Client: Canadian Metropolitan Properties Corporation
Location: Vancouver, BC
Landscape Architect: PFS Studio
Project Manager: Attollo Management
Scope: Wayfinding for development permitting

Our plan included conceptual thinking for integration with transit, recommendations for incorporation of Indigenous language and culture on site, creating connections with downtown and the waterfront. The work described potential next steps for consultation with the City of Vancouver, Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, as well as the leadership of local Host Indigenous Nations.
